My Poems-2

Sham S. Misri

             (4)
My throbbing heart
Someone trying to kill
Tired! Building palaces
People trying enter my home
Demanding, lifting the body
Bathing, packing, removing
Thousands follow!
Waving arms!
Leave you in middle of field
Prostrate!
On right side

              (5)
Built a palace
In the midst of a meadow
Fenced it!
Decorated, dyed, painted it
It remains!
And I go
Shopkeeper has closed the shop

        (6)
Till truth is proven correct
By then
World gets ablaze
Nobody interrogates a fact
Falsehood a fashion
Untruth appears to flourish
By and by
Truth recedes
Beyond reach and recognition

                    (7)
World! A mortar and a hot griddle
Hell for ignorant, rude, unaware
Knowledge for the wise, sensible, intelligent
Recognize, appreciate and understand

                   (8)

‘O’ man! World a pine forest
You will learn bad things and get bad name
How to live? In this world
Learn art of living

                   (9)
Nobody bothers for white money
Black money yields more interest
Truth blemishes, falsehood flourishes
Cursing and not realizing
